We are digging deep into the Jack O’Lantern for a slice of 1985 Sonic Youth.  A title almost too perfect for the Hookup Halloween Countdown for Halloween.  If you’ve never heard this track it will scare you upon first listen.  At least it scared me to the point that I needed to listen again to make sure I was extra scared.  The sounds on the track give off a catastrophe that will leave your ears in need of something sweet to balance out the dread.

The song appears on Bad Moon Rising, which is a great Halloween album cover shot by James Welling.  Also scary to stare at while listening while also being named after a CCR song.  The album is loaded with possible Halloween tracks like Satan Is Boring, which with that title, very interesting.  Looking to scare guests at an upcoming party, Halloween by Sonic Youth may be that track to accomplish it.
