The Hookup On Music Presents 31 Horror Tunes For Halloween Day 11: Classics IV- Spooky

A title perfectly made for a Halloween Playlist, Classics IV’s Spooky is a scary groove of a classic.  Originally created as an instrumental by Saxophonist Mike Sharpe before the Classics IV got ahold of the track.  There is a scary whistling sound effect that lurks in the back of the track that lingers in your head long after it’s finished.  But the overall lyrics warn the listener not to get involved with anyone Spooky.

Both Martha Reeves and Atlanta Rhythm  Section recorded note worthy covers.  This was a track I remember being played constantly at family Halloween parties.  Classics IV version reached number 3 on the Billboard Top 100 upon release.  With lyrics talking about proposing on Halloween, How could this not be a perfect Halloween track.
