We’re celebrating labor day weekend the best way we can, with another episode of Drafty Pod! Brian welcomes back Grateful Ducks host Brewhand Luke as well as Chicago Sports Bum Dougie Fresh to discuss and draft our favorite mascots!

This week’s drafty pod we’re all going into the wayback machine and digging back into our childhoods. Katelyn and Jacki are back with me as we discuss and draft things we were told as kids that weren’t true. So make sure you take a bath, comb your hair, take the trash out and eat all your vegetables before you join us for a bit of fun!

We’re back to munching on some grindage here at Drafty Pod. I’ve brought back my favorite food connoisseurs to discuss our favorite food items from TV and film. Chicago’s Youtube/Twitter foodie Fitzmagic is back, as well as our buddies Alexis and Mailman Jack. So sit back, relax, get yourself a $5 milkshake and a big salad and draft with us!

This week is a special draft as it’s our 50th! I’m very grateful to have reached this point! Join Magnificent Stan as he welcomes Chicago Sports Bums Bologna & Erin (her first episode!) as well as our old friend, King ASS Sam Reeves! We’re going to be discussing and drafting our favorite sports jerseys of all time!

We’re back to wrestling this week as Magnificent Stan welcomes back Dougie Fresh of Chicago Sports Bums fame as well as good friend to the show Shankster! We’ll be discussing and drafting the best monsters in wrestling history. Prerequisites for potential draftees is they must be either 6’10” tall or over 350 lbs. Join us for what looks to be a heavyweight conversation (teehee).

In the final edition of a trio of movies going 40, 30 and now 20 years into the past, Magnificent Stan welcomes fellow Penguin The Sugar Baggy as well as our good friend Katelyn Reeves back to discuss and draft the movies that made 2004 great (or shitty?)

Last week we tackled movies from 40 years ago (1984). This week? We’re diving into what some consider the best year ever for films, 1994. Returning to Drafty Pod will be Muppet enthusiast Steve Kniss from All Sports Scene. Also making her Drafty Pod debut, Sadistic Penguin contributor Keelin!

So I was watching At The Show Podcast, right here, on the Sadistic Penguin Studios channel (cheap plug!) a few weeks ago and Tony and Yump were talking about Beverly Hills Cop. It began to drag me down a hole into the year it came out (1984) and dammit if it wasn’t an absolutely EPIC year for the movie industry. I felt compelled to draft the year in film. OG Penguin Aloha Mr. Hand as well as Sadistic Penguin regular Mailman Jack join me. We’re gonna be kickin’ it old school and doing a straight draft (no categories). We came, we saw, we kicked it’s ass!

It’s worked multiple times for baseball, so we’re diving back into a draft focusing on building a team this week. The NBA playoffs has been absolutely fantastic so we’re going the basketball route. Sam Reeves from All Sports Scene as well as my buddy Kevin join me as we’re drafting current NBA players to fill our own personal dream teams!

This week we’ve got a nice fusion of comics and wrestling. Bologna of the Chicago Sports Bums as well as our Penguin pal Tony from At The Show/Hookup On Music join me as we recast Marvel superheroes with professional wrestlers! Whatcha gonna do when the three of us draft ::insert wrestler::

Also for the firs time ever the actual characters will be selected for us via a randomizer wheel! This is either gonna be a trainwreck or become a staple for this pod moving forward!
