The Hookup On Music Presents 31 Horror Tunes For Halloween Day 20: Phish- Ghost

Phish isn’t a band that you usually think of when thinking up scary tunes.  But one can’t ignore just how awesome the band has been at putting on a great Halloween gig.  Having covered great albums like The Who’s Quadrophenia or Talking Head’s Remain In Light on Halloween, the band had to have a scary track up their sleeves.  The track that always sticks in my head around Halloween is the band’s song Ghost from the album The Story Of The Ghost released in October of ’98.  If you aren’t familiar or a fan, check out this track and your mind just may be changed.

A funky tune that has clocked in as long as thirty one minutes and forty seven seconds live with the studio version only being under 4 minutes.  Performing an amazing rendition at the recent residency at The Las Vegas Sphere.  Trey Anastasio’s vocal and guitar line are spooky enough with the lyric, “But maybe he’s still with me,” sending the spooky vibes over the top.  Check out this entry and make sure not to stop jamming with the Ghost!
